Abstract

Public libraries are regarded as a people’s university, most of the citizens are using these libraries to keep update themselves and to spend leisure time. Now a day’s most of the individuals are also established the commercial libraries to offer reading materials at the user's doorsteps for making profits out of the library services. Though public libraries are offering free services to everyone but lack of innovation, lack of quality and updated information, most of the users are moving towards these rental libraries. It is the right time for public libraries to start innovative services and user-centered collection to attract them back to the public libraries.
