Abstract
In the first three parts of this series, we unpacked the median and the mode formulas. Comparatively the formula for the mean is easier to understand and not as counterintuitive. However, while computing it for grouped data, we use the midpoints of the class intervals and compute the mean as if all data in each class interval is exactly the midpoint.
