Abstract

Land restoration also requires enhancing the awareness of all people but also the capacity of professionals and policy-makers. What kind of education and training program may be launched for this purpose? An answer to this question has to be based on the understanding of the challenges in using education (especially higher education) for one or other social purpose. This chapter outlines the kind of education programs (for youngsters and for adults and as part of life-long learning) which may be effective in enhancing human resources for land restoration.
