Abstract
This commentary examines the influence of patriarchal attitudes on judicial approaches to women’s rights and bodily autonomy. Using the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization and the overturning of Roe v. Wade as a central case, it explores how judicial reasoning can shape women’s reproductive freedom, privacy and decision-making. The article highlights the broader relationship between gendered social attitudes, state power and the protection of women’s constitutional rights.
