Abstract

This commentary examines the persistence of ragging and institutional discrimination in Indian educational institutions despite the Supreme Court’s guidelines to curb the practice. It analyses how caste, class and gender shape everyday forms of oppression on campuses and highlights the responsibility of the State and educational institutions to ensure safe and equitable learning environments. The article argues for a deeper engagement with constitutional values and transformative justice in addressing discrimination and violence in educational spaces.
