Abstract

The report examines the widening wealth and income inequality in India, highlighting the simultaneous growth of extreme wealth and poverty. It analyses the concentration of wealth among the richest sections of society and argues that progressive taxation and stronger redistributive policies are essential to reduce inequality and ensure a more equitable distribution of economic resources.
