Abstract

The article reflects on Jharkhand’s 25 years of statehood, tracing the historical struggles and movements that led to its creation. It calls for renewed attention to the ideals of dignity, justice and equality that shaped the statehood movement, while examining the unfinished aspirations of Adivasi communities and the need to preserve the legacy of leaders such as Birsa Munda and Shibu Soren.
