Abstract
The article examines Jharkhand’s maiden Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy victory as the outcome of decades of institutional development, migration, industrialisation and evolving sporting cultures. It highlights the state’s growing cricket infrastructure and talent while also addressing the social inequalities within the team, particularly the limited representation of Adivasi players.
