Abstract

Agricultural fungicides like carbendazim are widely used and can contaminate aquatic environments, posing significant risks to fish populations, particularly in regions where cold shock exacerbates stress. This study established the 96-hour LC50 of carbendazim for juvenile Labeo rohita at 2 mg L−1 and demonstrated that exposure leads to behavioral abnormalities and compromised cold shock resilience, highlighting critical implications for aquaculture management and pesticide regulation.
