Abstract
The National Curriculum Framework - FoundationalStage 2022 (NCF-FS) was created with the reformssuggested in the National Educational Policy2020 (NEP). Following this, the changed teachingtechniques used in the classroom for earlynumeracy are described in this article along withsuggested classroom procedures.Overall, for the teaching of maths, NCF-FS documentstates, ‘Children bring various mathematical skillsfrom their surroundings and culture into theclassroom, which must be the basis of learningmathematics.’ While keeping this as the basis,how a teacher should proceed with the classroominstruction is illustrated in this article.
