Abstract
Reading is recognised an important way of any professional development as it is perhaps the most easily available and most independent of continuing development in understanding of theory, knowing different modes of practice and way of reflection. A person with an habit of reading has greater chances of keeping abreast with the changing practices and developing knowledge base in his/her profession. The problem is that proper readings habits are not found very wide spread. Therefore if we are interested in helping teacher develop into independent reflective practitioners developing readings habits seems to be very important, rather essential.
