Abstract

Keeping in mind the policy directives and looking for ensuring deep learning among students, several thematic projects were planned and implemented with students from grades 3 to 8. The projects followed several elements of project based teaching proposed by Shome and Natarajan (2013) and Thomas (2000). These include working with problems of the real world, learning core concepts etc.
