Abstract

Problematizing language studies is an edited volume that consists of thirty-six essays written in honour of Professor Rama Kant Agnihotri. Language is a multi-dimensional field of study: from the politics of language, to the histories of the individuals and societies that speak them, to the theories of how language manifests itself at the sentence, sound, word and meaning level, to the application of language in teaching and language planning.
