Abstract

This article examines the changing nature of state sovereignty in India in the context of expanding digital governance. It explores how technologies such as DigiYatra and Aarogya Setu, along with growing systems of surveillance and data mining, raise important concerns about privacy, transparency and the exercise of sovereign power. The article considers the tension between the use of digital infrastructure for public welfare and the need to protect individual rights and democratic accountability.
