Abstract

The report assesses the socio-economic conditions of persons with disabilities (PwDs) in Bihar two years after the enactment of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Drawing on primary surveys and secondary data, it examines education, employment, household expenditure, accessibility of public services and access to government welfare schemes. The report identifies key challenges faced by PwDs and recommends measures to strengthen income security, employment opportunities, public services and the exercise of democratic rights.
