Abstract
The article examines the violence in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region arising from disputes over alleged forced religious conversion and reconversion. It explores clashes between Christian and non-Christian Adivasi communities, attacks and displacement, and allegations of organised reconversion campaigns, while highlighting the resulting social tensions, mistrust and challenges to communal harmony in Narayanpur and Kondagaon districts.
