Abstract

This article examines the role of Adivasi and Indigenous communities as custodians of forests and nature in the context of the global climate crisis. It connects the COP26 commitment to halt and reverse deforestation with the recognition of Indigenous knowledge, cultural traditions, and forest-based ways of life in India.
